I put a lot of weight into deciding who I wanted to be my bridesmaids. Everyone I asked has a special place in my heart and I couldn’t imagine getting married without them by my side. So of course, I wanted to something special to pop the big question to my lovely ladies (and I knew I wanted it to involve a balloon pop ask…but more on that later). I decided to plan a girly brunch complete with personal touches and plenty of mimosas.
First item on the menu? Indulgent homemade cinnamon buns. I used this relatively easy recipe and they came out great – not quite as delicious as Cinnabon, but baked with a whole lot more love. Next up? Grapefruit-Thyme Mimosas, which is really just a fancy name for the cheapest sparkling wine you can find mixed with grapefruit juice and a sprig of thyme. Voila! Fancy-shmancy. I also served this ah-mazing recipe for Greek Baked Eggs (highly recommend!) and made everyone a sharpie ‘Maid Mug to take home.
