It’s been a busy couple of months. With a shiny new job as web editor at House & Home magazine, and something else new and shiny too, I’ve been neglecting my favourite corner of the internet. But that doesn’t mean I forgot about it (or you, readers)! Through this busy but exciting time, I’ve been relying on quick and easy recipes to help celebrate life’s big moments (and everyday’s little ones), like this Simple Summer Crumble from Whole Foods that I made it back in berry season.
I’m a firm believer that a crisp or crumble is the best way to showcase summer fruit. It’s also impressive, delicious and practically foolproof – and topping it with edible flowers doesn’t hurt, either. Make this recipe with frozen berries or August’s juicy stone fruit (and adjust the cooking time accordingly). It makes for the perfect summer dessert, hostess gift (they can eat it in the morning with yogurt), or, you know – just because.
