This chilly weather has me craving cosy afternoons in coffee shops, latte in hand — and Detour Coffee Roasters looks like just the place I’d enjoy spending a few hours watching the snow fall. Located in a historical building in Dundas, Ontario, the minimalist space with Scandinavian and Japanese influences is designed by Canadian husband-and-wife team John and Juli Baker, who own the stylish retail shop Mjölk.
Simple panelling in the most perfect shade of sage (Farrow & Ball’s Vert de Terre), vintage Josef Hoffmann chairs, modern lighting and a darling collection of plants and antiques create a wonderful tension between old and new. Peek through all the goodness below!
