For the Love of Flowers

My favorite childhood book was Miss Rumphius, a story about a little girl who wanted to make the world a more beautiful place, and grew up to find her calling planting lupin flowers around the world. I took the lesson in this book very seriously, and I too grew up wanting to make the world a more beautiful place. I haven’t exactly figured out how to do that just yet, but it’s no coincidence I ended up in an industry that puts such an emphasis on aesthetics. I think it also explains my complete and utter love affair with flowers, which brings me to today’s post…

I’d like to introduce you to The Floral Society, a gorgeous shop owned by Sierra Steifman, the florist behind New York boutique floral house Poppies & Posies. “Moved by the changing seasons of the natural world and the collaborative spirit of the floral community, The Floral Society makes creative tools and objects to inspire the design enthusiast at home,” reads their website. And boy do they inspire! Scroll through for a whole lot of beauty below… I think Miss Rumphius would approve.
